I was first introduced to chiropractic from a running injury back in high school with IT band pain. While getting long-term benefit for seeing the athletic trainer for the first two months of the injury, there was no immediate relief, until I was referred to the local chiropractor where I limped into the office and was able to go on a pain-free run later that day.
From that experience, I knew what my life mission was, and that was to give hope to others. I received my bachelors in biological sciences from Western Michigan University to then get my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Logan University. I am licensed working as an independent contractor out of McCauley Chiropractic in downtown Rochester, Michigan.
While I graduated in the newer generation of chiropractic with fancy equipment and therapies, my hands-on approach is “old school.” I keep chiropractic simply chiropractic. Where I differ is the lens that I view pain, and that is through the biopsychosocial model. This means that pain is a triad of: anatomical pain generators like intervertebral discs, psychological like stressors, and sociological like who is in your social group. These are all factors that play a direct role in your ability to heal and health and well being.
My Mission
My mission is to change the paradigm of how people view chiropractic and relate it to health and wellness. It is my job to educate and empower people to restore full body autonomy.
